Job Summary

Since launching in Curaçao in late 2024 we have seen tremendous growth and are on track to becoming the largest vacation rental operator on the island in 2026. As we scale our operations and manage an increasing number of properties and HOAs, we are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to ensure smooth financial operations across our portfolio. You will be responsible for managing property finances on behalf of owners, administering two HOAs (VvEs), and handling monthly payroll for our growing local team.

At Bocobay you will:

Property Financial Management

  • Processing and paying regular bills and invoices for managed properties on behalf of property owners
  • Using our internally created systems to maintain accurate records of all property-related expenses and payments
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements for property owners
  • Managing utility payments, maintenance invoices, and vendor payments
  • Ensuring timely payment of all property-related obligations
  • Reconciling property expense accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Assisting property owners with queries related to their properties' finances

HOA/VvE Administration

  • Managing complete financial administration for two Vereniging van Eigenaars
  • Preparing and distributing monthly/quarterly HOA financial reports
  • Processing HOA fee collections and following up on delinquent accounts
  • Paying HOA vendors and service providers
  • Preparing annual budgets and financial statements for HOA boards
  • Coordinating with HOA boards regarding financial matters and reporting
  • Maintaining compliance with local VvE regulations and requirements

Payroll & Team Support

  • Processing monthly payroll for the local Curaçao team via payroll software
  • Ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, benefits, and deductions
  • Working closely with the operational team in Curaçao on daily financial matters
  • Coordinating with your counterpart in Aruba for best practices and consistency
  • Reporting to and receiving support from the Finance Director in London

Financial Operations & Compliance

  • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Managing banking relationships and cash flow for local operations
  • Collaborating with external accountants as needed

What we look for:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, or accounting
  • Experience with property management finances strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HOA/VvE administration is highly desirable
  • Payroll processing experience required
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Excel skills
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is a must, fluency in Spanish & Papiamentu is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A high degree of ownership and ability to work independently
  • Ability to build trust quickly with internal and external stakeholders
