Bocobay is revolutionizing hospitality through innovative, tech-powered service and inspiring, thoughtfully designed accommodations combined into one seamlessly managed experience. Launched in 2020 in Aruba, Bocobay is a private-equity backed business bringing a new standard to the Caribbean vacation rental market. We are now set to expand to our third island, Jamaica base in Runaway Bay.

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining all landscaped areas, gardens, lawns, outdoor spaces, and designated beach areas to ensure the property remains visually appealing, safe, and in keeping with Bocobays luxury presentation standards. The role supports the overall guest experience by ensuring all outdoor and beachfront environments are consistently well maintained and guest-ready.

Knowledge and Requirements:

• Minimum secondary school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or

• property maintenance preferred (1–2 years)

• Knowledge of grass pruning and lawn maintenance techniques

• Cutting and trimming of trees, hedges, and high branches

• Operation of trimmers, brush cutters, lawn mowers, and other landscaping equipment

• Safe use of hand tools and basic power tools

• Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation, and fertilization is an asset

1-2 years of experience. Must have basic knowledge of villa and property presentation standards, understanding the level of landscape maintenance required to ensure each villa exterior and common areas are guest-ready at all times. Experience working in hospitality, resort, or high-end residential environments is an asset.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Grounds & Landscape Maintenance

• ​​Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, outdoor areas, and designated beach areas to high presentation standards

• Perform grass cutting, pruning, trimming, and edging

• Maintain plants, trees, shrubs, and flower beds

• Remove weeds, debris, fallen leaves, and beach debris (including seaweed and litter) from all assigned areas

• Assist with planting, fertilizing, irrigation, and basic beach grooming as required

• Assist with maintaining safe and clean beach access paths and beachfront presentation

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Safely operate landscaping equipment including trimmers, brush cutters, and lawn mowers

• Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use

• Report any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately

Property Presentation & Safety

• Ensure outdoor areas are safe, clean, and hazard free

• Assist with storm preparation and post-weather clean up

• Report any damages, hazards, or maintenance issues to the General Manager or designated supervisor

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with Villa Operations, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams as required

• Assist with special landscaping or property projects when required

Compliance & Safety

• Follow health, safety, and environmental standards

• Use chemicals, fertilizers, and equipment safely and responsibly

• Maintain professionalism and respect for guest privacy at all times
