Villa Attendant (Culinary & Housekeeper)

Job Description:

Bocobay is revolutionizing hospitality through innovative, tech-powered service and inspiring, thoughtfully designed accommodations combined into one seamlessly managed experience. Launched in 2020 in Aruba, Bocobay is a private-equity backed business bringing a new standard to the Caribbean vacation rental market. We are now set to expand to our third island, Jamaica base in Runaway Bay.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Food Handling Certification preferred

  • Basic knowledge of safe food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards

  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping standards and cleaning procedures

  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation standards

  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and working in indoor and outdoor environments

  • Good time management and organization skills

  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and guests where required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Functions & Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Villa Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain assigned villa areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and outdoor areas

  • Change bed linens, towels, and replenish guest amenities

  • Maintain high presentation standards throughout the villa

  • Assist with laundry, ironing, and storage of linens and guest items

  • Ensure cleaning supplies are properly stored and used safely

  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items immediately

Culinary Support & Food Preparation:

  • Assist with meal preparation including ingredient preparation, basic cooking tasks, and food presentation

  • Prepare simple meals, breakfast items, or staff meals as required

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation at all times

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

  • Store food items safely and monitor expiry dates

  • Support special dietary requests as directed

Guest Service Support 

  • Assist with basic guest requests as directed by the Butler or Villa Lead

  • Support villa setup for guest arrival including refreshments and presentation

  • Maintain discretion and professionalism when working around guests

Inventory & Organization 

  • Assist in monitoring kitchen and housekeeping supplies

  • Report low stock levels to Supervisor or Butler
    Assist with stock organization and storage

Safety & Compliance
    • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

    • Follow health and safety policies and procedures

    • Use cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely

    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
