Bocobay is revolutionizing hospitality through innovative, tech-powered service and inspiring, thoughtfully designed accommodations combined into one seamlessly managed experience. Launched in 2020 in Aruba, Bocobay is a private-equity backed business bringing a new standard to the Caribbean vacation rental market. We are now set to expand to our third island, Jamaica base in Runaway Bay.

The Bartender is responsible to provide high-quality, personalized beverage service to villa guests at the clubhouse while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction in a relaxed luxury setting.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Familiarity with classic cocktails, signature drinks, wines, beers, and mocktails

  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clubhouse bar

  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Professional, courteous, and guest-focused approach to service

  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as per villa operations

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Relevant bartending or food and beverage certification

  • Valid Food Handlers Permit

Experience: 

At least 1-2 years experience as a bartender in a villa, resort or a similar hospitality environment preferred.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation and Service

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and villa standards

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the clubhouse beverage menu, including signature cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty drinks

  • Recommend beverages based on guest preferences and enhance the overall guest experience through personalized service

Guest Experience

  • Deliver friendly, discreet, and efficient service while engaging professionally with villa guests

  • Handle special requests, dietary considerations, and drink modifications with care and attention

  • Ensure guest orders are accurately recorded, signed, and charged to the appropriate villa or room account

Bar Operations and Inventory

  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and presentation of the clubhouse bar at all times

  • Monitor stock levels, conduct daily inventories, and control bar par stock

  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of beverages and supplies

Health, Safety, and Compliance

  • Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation standards

  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in line with villa policies and licensing requirements

  • Maintain a safe working environment for guests and staff

General Duties

  • Prepare the bar for opening and ensure proper closing procedures are followed

  • Support villa events, private functions, or gatherings hosted at the clubhouse

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
