Job Description:

Bocobay is revolutionizing hospitality through innovative, tech-powered service and inspiring, thoughtfully designed accommodations combined into one seamlessly managed experience. Launched in 2020 in Aruba, Bocobay is a private-equity backed business bringing a new standard to the Caribbean vacation rental market. We are now set to expand to our third island, Jamaica base in Runaway Bay.

The Public Area Attendant will be responsible to maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all public and common areas, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for guests, residents, and staff.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and chemicals

  • Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards

  • Ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures

  • Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:No experience is required. Prior housekeeping or public area cleaning experience is an asset.

Public Area Cleaning

  • Clean and maintain all assigned public areas including lobbies, hallways, stairways, restrooms, clubhouses, offices, staff areas, and outdoor common areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces according to established standards

  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly

  • Replenish restroom supplies such as tissue, soap, and paper towel 

Maintenance and Upkeep

  • Identify and report maintenance issues such as leaks, damaged furniture, lighting faults, or safety hazards
  • Ensure walkways, entrances, and common areas remain clean, dry, and safe always
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as required

Health and Safety

  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines always
  • Display appropriate signage when cleaning wet or high traffic areas

General Duties:

  • Support housekeeping and operations teams as needed
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
    Perform any other related duties as assigned by management
